How Backlinks Improve Your PageRank

improve pagerank

Backlinks or text links can improve your site's value and pagerank, especially if you build them in a natural and relevant manner. A backlink or text link is any clickable link pointing to your site from another website. Each link can carry "link juice" which in a way, is like a vote of confidence for your website. There are some out there who will tell you any backlink is a good link, this simply isn't true. While it may improve your overall link popularity, it may not improve your "Google PageRank." Google's page rank varies from "0" to "10" and the higher the pagerank, the more authority you site is viewed in Google's, as well as others, eyes.

Google states that pagerank isn't the most important thing to work on, this is absolutely true. Having a pagerank 8 website with no traffic, no sales, and no income - isn't going to be profitable and/or valuable. However, the more relevant backlinks you can gain will almost always result in more traffic from folks clicking on the link. Take for example, Google's ads, their ads are almost always relevant to the website the ad is on - why? One answer, it's relevant. If someone visits a finance site, on a page about good credit card offers, is the visitor more likely to click on credit card offer ads or garden supply ads? This same principle holds true for text links pointing to your site. So when someone tells you, any backlink is a good one, you now know they haven't a clue...

So, you may be wondering how do I improve my "google pagerank" - well, there's really only one answer - relevant links from higher authority websites. Below we listed a chart. This is more or less the general consenses on how many links it takes to get a specific pagerank. This chart will usually hold true, but not always. There are lots of things to consider on each backlink. Some of those are: how many outbound links do you have, how many outbound links does the webpage with your link on it have, is the link "do-follow" or "nofollow" and on and on... So take this chart as nothing more than a basic guide.

Here's how you read the chart below - If you're looking to get a PageRank 5 webpage, you would likely need 555 links from PR3 webpages or 3 links from PR6 webpages. The chart below isn't absolute - relevancy, time the link was on the PR webpage, amount of outbound links (both on your webpage and on the PR webpage) matters and other factors still apply. Also, "jt" = 1 million. So 0.5jt is half a million or 500,000 links, 15jt is 15 million links.

We have 1000's of websites ready to add your link to their high pagerank webpage. All links are placed on relevant webpages with the actual pagerank you ordered. Many brokers will sell links claiming "Links on a PR5 (or any PR number) website" - if you're link isn't on a page ranked page, it isn't doing much good. Our links are placed on either homepages or interior pages, but it's always what you order on an actual page ranked webpage. So what are you waiting for?
